Virgin Holidays Last Minute April 2024

I’ve always had a great experience with Virgin Holidays. I used them first back in 2019 for a trip to New York and it was great, the rep rang me a couple of days before to check I had everything ready and asked if I had any questions. Had no issues with the flight or hotel, both were really good. I’ve currently got a holiday to Orlando booked for a friends wedding and New York again, I rang today to change New York from this year to next and it was all sorted with no issues, no changing fees and the lady was really helpful and friendly. I didn’t have to wait in a queue and everything was changed over in 15 minutes. Always great service and experience, even during a pandemic.

Was dreading the thought of calling Virgin Holidays after the fiasco of refunds and not being able to speak to anyone in the summer due to Covid cutbacks. But all seemed back to normal now, the phone was answered quickly and was able to change our holiday with ease, we spoke to a wonderfully cheerful lady called Tanya Pendley, she was just amazing! Thanks Virgin we're looking forward again to our next adventure with you at the end of this year.

virgin did it all flights hotels rental cars. in flight service much better than british airways. the hotels were very nice and in good locations, it was obvious virgin had gone to a lot of trouble to find out about the local area for the customers using the holiday service.

Will never loose my loyalty. 2020 was a bad year for every company, yes my refund took longer than expected and I wasn’t happy at first. However, when I called to enquire about pricing up my rebook, my faith was restored. Before even talking about re booking something the agent had brought my details up and apologised for the issues last year. Something which was not her fault and didn’t have to apologise for, every company had its issues. Virgin holds something special within its staff and in the news I’ve seen they’ve had to let many go to keep the company afloat. Agreed the brand was tarnished slightly last year however they seem to acknowledge that and want to get back to the elite company they were. To see reviews on here with people stating they hope the company goes under is just awful, millions have lost their jobs in the UK and to wish that upon anyone is absolutely disgraceful. Let’s face it their planes are a million times nicer on board than the competition. My experience this time around has been ELITE so far and I am very pleased I gave them another go.

Booked with Wednesbury Virgin store, trip to Orlando, Florida, stayed in the Disney sports resorts. Couldn’t of had a more helpful input from the travel agents, I will certainly be returning for my next holiday and would highly recommend this store for future bookings.

Booked several holidays with virgin hols up to 2014, all good, holiday formats (twin centre) then changed and prices went through the roof, hence, not booked with them since. Surprised to see the poor reviews on here given how good they were.

Looking at the reviews on here, I’m going against the grain, but as sure as I will curse poor service, I will also recognise excellence.Travelled to Dubai during February school holidays to stay at the Hilton Double Trees Resort. All of the pre holiday stuff was great & straightforward, no issues. Flight was with Emirates, just meh, not Virgins fault as we’d heard great things about Emirates. On arrival at the hotel, after a long night flight with 2 grumpy adults & an even grumpier 5 year old, we were told by reception that our 2 double bed room was actually a room with 2 single beds. The only way the hotel could solve this was by upgrading us. To be honest I was too tired to question this & just paid the upgrade so we could get on with the holiday.On our return home, I contacted Virgin Holidays customer service via the back at home service. This was to offer feedback on the room issue we had faced. I was dealt with by Teresa Williams when Virgin replied. This was well within the stated contact time too, so no long wait.She contacted the hotel to get their version of events. The hotel said they have no rooms with single beds. I said if that was the case why were we told that & why we would then upgrade to a room that only had one double bed from a room that had 2 double beds, especially with a child! And when we had already paid for a better room during booking! It seemed like a pretty shameless money making ploy.Obviously there wasn’t a lot Teresa could do because we didn’t raise it there with the local rep & there was obviously something lost in translation. I was ok with this because it was a case of just stopping this happening again to someone else as it was frustrating more than a holiday spoiler, which is why I raised it.However, Teresa wasn’t done there. She said she would go back to the hotel & see if they were willing to offer anything as a goodwill gesture. As we were looking to return in May, if they did offer something great, if not, no tears.Well, having put us in touch with the hotels head of UK operations, who was very apologetic - I can vouch for the fact that Hilton Double Trees Resort in Dubai certainly value their customers & have gone above & beyond what I expected. In addition to this, I have to give Teresa & Virgin Holidays due credit - they dealt with the issue in hand fairly & in timely fashion. Not only that, as we were booking our next holiday with BA purely on availability, Teresa did not have to take any further action to seek any goodwill gesture. So it just goes to show, you don’t always have to benefit directly to deliver top level customer service.Thank you Virgin Holidays & Teresa!

Been to many locations with VH and virgin atlantic and it's been great. I think we've had a couple of so so flights where the service wasnt 100% and they were quick to apologise and compensate. I use them multiple times a year and continue to do so

Booked a holiday from Gatwick to Cuba and we had a great time - The flight and the resort was top notch and the rep on the ground very helpful. Would book again
