I bought some Christmas presents from various sellers. Most arrived quickly and I was happy to be able to support the small businesses. However, there was one company who failed to respond to messages and the item hadn’t arrived nearly two weeks after the expected delivery date. Etsy were really quick to open a case and really helpful. However, before it was escalated for a refund the item arrived. I think they’ll always be that one person on the site that doesn’t adhere to the rules. However, due to the efficiency of Etsy customer service it hadn’t put me off buying from the site.

I have ordered from Etsy before without any problems as Guest user but then I wanted to make a bigger order and Etsy forced me to create account. After ordering Etsy sent me message that my order is processing and next day I got email that unfortunately my order was unable to be completed without any reason. After I tried to see if I could buy again I got message that my account is suspended. They also disabled chat support for suspended accounts and I have emailed them over 4 days ago without any response. This is truely a disaster. If you can avoid Etsy avoid it, sellers please consider other options too because you can get suspended without any reason too. I will update my review if Etsy can resolve this. Sadly Etsy is the only place to buy item I want, othewise I would look elsewhere.Update 10.12.2021(dd/mm/yyyy): Etsy supported resolved the issue today and I managed to make purchase successfully. They said it was an mistake nothing more. So it took little bit over 1 week to resolve this. Originally I have 1 star but now updated to 3 because their support is slow and their automated suspension faulty. Other than that it's great place to find cool products but sadly many people get suspended without a reason.
