I've only just switched to Optus because Virgin is closing down ... and Optus have given me a great deal ... VERY HAPPY.More importantly, I really love their online live chat service ... which is efficient albeit a little slow sometimes ... everytime that I've used this service my problems have been quickly resolved.Happy Happy Happy!

I can watch Optus Sport on phone, laptop, PC but not Smart TV???

I have been using optus for a few years now and I'd like to share my thoughts on the company and service provider. My decision to switch to optus came from optus' big data inclusions in byod plans that supported free unlimited music streaming from spotify and google play music (amongst others but those two are the only ones I've used on a regular basis). Pair that with student plan fee discount and you've got yourself a pretty decent deal if you're an avid music streamer like me. My personal experience has been pretty great. I've gotten decent 4G coverage most places and because I enjoy buying my new flagship phones outright I could fully appreciate the byod plans.My only caveat with choosing optus would be in customer service and dealing with problems that are not very common (ie. problems not part of training i assume). A complication in adding a second service to my name (a very expensive one mind you) had me calling optus service centres seeking help only to be on hold for hours AND be passed around like hot potato amongst different department as they didn't deal with this issue. I've literally been transferred to all sorts of departments only to be told that I will have to call the first department as they don't deal with this at that department and so on. I had to visit a physical optus store to prove my claims that the service centre employees didn't believe. With the store employees agreeing with me and helping me as they tried to navigate the service centres with me. The issue was finally resolved on my 3rd visit to the store. almost an entire week after I first applied for the new service.Optus has provided me excellent value and experience as a service provider. But beware. If you ever get involved in a complication that they are not expecting the customer service over the phone can become nightmarish. Although, with a problem that is very common, they can often provide satisfactory customer service.My opinion of optus as a service provider for my phone is still very high and I'm willing to recommend to others. the customer department is so-so.

Elizabeth SA...went to Optus after having a bad customer service at Vodafone.. When I went to Optus the fellow was helpful, friendly and a gentleman, I left a very satisfied customer, not sure of his name but his sales rep no: 209 he spoke so politely :) I left a very Happy Customer :)

When I first started with them I was pretty happy. But they have ended up being like all the rest. They don’t stick to what they say in their own contract. Disappointing

On the 19/09/2019 I went to Optus shop in chermside shopping centre and had fantastic service and very helpful bye a team member name Jesse, went to the next level of service that I have not seen in long time. So thank you Jesse for fantastic service and for being very helpful. Keep up the great work.
