I tried to order a digital drawing tablet from them a couple weeks ago, and I used PayPal. The order took forever to go through because they would not accept my payment. So the order was pending for almost a week, then I had to contact customer care because I saw the item had went out of stock after I ordered it. They informed me that they would be sending the order soon with a tracking number, the problem is they took so much time accepting my order, and did not look to see on their own site if it was still in stock. So I basically had to go almost a month with them holding my funds, and then returning it to me.They eventually apologized and gave me a 10 dollar coupon, but they wasted so much time when they simply could have accepted my payment sooner, or looked on their site to see it was out of stock and just declined.

On one hand Blick Art ( fka Utrecht) can be super pricey but they have EVERYTHING. I especially love to go into the brick and mortar store because they employee very knowledgeable staff. Recently I wanted to try water based oil paints for painting when traveling. They were able to show me what I needed to get started and saved me money by showing me the lower cost solvents from other brands. I'm very happy with these purchases! (also it's funny that I had to edit my review b/c the original name of this store is D1ck Blick and D1ck is a "inappropriate word" according to TrustPilot, lol!)

geeze.... I'm really surprised to see all the low ratings.... I've placed many many many orders with Blicks over the last few years and all have gone smoothly. I think, once, I ordered an OBNOXIOUS amount of open stock pencils - like over a hundred (Im frankly embarrassed to admit that I did that but I wasn't thinking of the warehouse person having to pull all those while I placed my order at 3am while dribbling ice cream down my shirt like a slob and they were all different colors too no duplicates) - and they accidentally gave me two of one pencil and left out one I had ordered. I was pretty impressed with that - I don't think I could pull 100 open stock colored pencils and only mess up on one! They let me keep the extra and sent the one that was missing free of charge. Sometimes I'm frustrated that orders usually take ten days to get to me... but then I remember that I've been slowly groomed by certain other companies (that start with an A and end with a zon) to be an impatient twerp and I chill right out. Cause free 2 day shipping isn't the standard - and for companies who do it it comes at a cost to someone. Maybe they're paying their warehouse employees less wages or benefits. Maybe they've struck deals with package carriers that drive the cost of shipping from their own company down while driving the cost of shipping for everyone else in the world up. Maybe they're luring you in with cheap 2 day shipping because they are softening you up and priming you and your family for the inevitable AI takeover of your sad little lives. Maybe witchcraft makes the packages come in two days or less. Maybe they've found some other secret way to cut corners to get super cheap or free two day shipping but it's not standard. Stuff takes time when you ship it - That's standard. And I will tell you something else about ordering art supplies from certain other companies with free two day shipping - sometimes when my stuff gets here it is JACKED UP. Like they threw the full set of faber castel color pencils that weigh as much as a brick in with a bunch of really fragile lightweight flimsy things and barley any padding... stuff gets broken - packages full of art supplies from the two day shipping place usually look like someone was fleeing for their life and the last thing they had to do before they could make they're harrowing get away was throw all my crap in a box and send it out the door as fast as they could. Its been a constant issue with art supplies from the other place - and I haven't experienced it with blicks - things have always come very well packaged. Blicks shipping isn't slow... it's exactly standard - plan your life accordingly.I love going to their brick and mortar stores - the staff has always been friendly to me and they don't mean mug me while I pet the art supplies and coo softly. There's one right down the street from my grocery store and I usually go there weekly 'to get just one thing' and walk out like uh-oh.... what am I buying food with now? I prefer going to the brick and mortar store to shopping online partly because I'm a sucker for instant gratification, partly because I like to see stuff in person and partly because I want it to stay open for a long time. Also, I'm THAT person at blicks brick and mortar store - the person who used the open stock markers to draw a big ole happy looking C+B on the test pad right before you got there. You always wondered who that was - now you know. Ya can't do THAT online! Blick's brick and mortar store also gives my many cats a once weekly two hour reprieve from their deep rooted fears that in my loneliness I will use their fur to knit tiny sweaters that I will subsequently force them to wear out in public. Plus OMG there's SO many art supplies there!

I first came in contact with this company when teaching in a rubberstamp/craft store. We were ordering wholesale and were very pleased with the service. I became especially fond of Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils and owned two sets of 120 colors to use in my classes. We were also able to order individual pencils of the most popular colors. Today with the recent popularity of adult coloring books, I have gone back to this site to replace often-used colors and to purchase the new colors which have been released in the past few years. Blick offers a complete array of fine art materials from many different manufacturers. They even offer adult coloring books. I choose to order art supplies from this site because of their low prices and quality service.

I order from Blick. The only problem I have is who they use for shipping. They use Fed X. The free shipping is Fed X smart post. This is where Fed X hands it off to the USPS, after they've held it for a week. Smart post delivery will take up to two weeks. It's a nightmare. I paid the extra $3.00 for regular fed x ground. It was supposed to be here yesterday, Saturday. Of course it was not. Fed x, now has put the delivery at Tuesday. Half the time Fed X doesn't know where the shipment is. This is who Blick need's to get rid of. As it is most of the complaints'. As far as quality. Blick has the original and quality. I could have ordered off of the company that start's with an "A" and had said product yesterday. But, the "A" company has a lot of counterfeit product's. Blick does not have counterfeit product's.I have never had a problem with customer service. I have expressed my dislike of their shipping company, fed x. They gave me a solution. I happen to have a UPS account. They told me if I need it quickly, call them, and give them my UPS account number, and they will ship it UPS. Which I have no problem with.Blick, is a great company. I don't hold it against them, for their shipping company they use. As I said, they resolved my problem. I didn't need the product immediately, so I know what to expect from Fed X.The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars, is because if they used UPS, they would not have shipping issues like they do.Blick does have quality products. I ordered Caran D'Ache Luminance. There was no way I would order from "A" company and possibly receive counterfeit product. Blick product's will 100% guaranteed be from Caran D'Ache.So I will continue ordering from Blick, they have quality products. If there is a problem with quality, that's from the manufacturer.

I have ordered from Blick Art Materials many times in the past and always received great customer service and great products, plus their prices were usually the best anywhere! I can't understand all the negative reviews here on trust pilot website compared to the positive reviews. Maybe this is just a site where people come to complain about stuff!

When you order long enough from the same place things are bound to happen. In my case, good things because they always go the extra mile to implement customer feedback, and I just want the folks at Blick to know that I noticed the improvement to packing their simplon frames. Great job guys!

I have been waiting over a week for a small order to ship. I understand about Covid issues, but Blick said absolutely nothing on their website about slow shipping or skeleton crews. Wrote to order@ after hearing nothing back for 3 days, wrote to customerservice@ after 5 days and still heard nothing back. So, I called on the 7th day and customer service rep said they were behind on emails (really) and working with a skeleton crew (this is 1st notice of this problem). She said it was scheduled to ship that day. I heard nothing from shipping and it didn't ship, so I called back on 8th day and told the new CS rep who answered the phone I just wanted to cancel. Was informed I couldn't cancel the order as it was at the warehouse. What is up with that! Money is still pending in my PP account that I can't use and Blick will neither ship nor respond, except with excuses.We've ordered major and minor items during the past Covid month, from furniture, to household goods, hobby items, outdoor plant stands and more, and every company stated on their website they were working short handed, but still responded to emails. Some CS reps were working from home. Blick does none of this. They capture your money and hold you hostage. No one is too big to fail and they apparently don't believe in customer service. I've owned businesses for 45+ years and customer service was always been number one. Blick must believe there is an unending supply of customers......but I'm no longer a customerMay 8th Addition: Blick has refunded my money and still shipped the product, which lets me know they are concerned about doing the right thing. This happened after I asked the CS rep to pass my email up the chain. Head of CS responded and offered the current solution. Still think this issue could have been avoided with a simple response to my emails...but this has turned out to be a positive experience.

We ordered a 200.00 set of markers over the weekend ,recieved them today and just about every marker is dried out. My wife and I both have emailed them. Upon seeing g the reviews here I highly doubt it will make a difference. An update= Blick contacted me today and offered a refund or a new set. I chose a new set and sent the dried up set back to them today. I will follow up on how long it takes them to get the new set sent to us. If they send it quickly and the new set isnt defective I will be happy to change my rating. Update= customer service spoke to my wife and they were super great to her and are sending a brand new set of markers. They have completely redeemed themselves!!
