Placed quite a big order on the website. The reviews on this site made me very worried about the safety and quality of the delivery. Yes, the web shop needs a lot of improvement. BUT: I received the items ordered, on time, no problems. Customer service promptly answered my question. All in all my experience is good to very good.

Have purchased a couple of Longchamp bags over the last 6 months and have never been disappointed. Yes some items are Made In China but the quality is still top notch. Service received in both the Bond Street and Regent Street stores has been wonderful. Will be looking forward to future purchases from Longchamp in the near future.

I've bought perhaps three Longchamp bags, over the years. One leather handbag, one nylon tote, and one leather tote in the Le Roseau style.Overall, the leather handbag and the nylon tote served me well, during the many years I had them.With regards to the Le Roseau leather tote, I purchased it around 2005 or so, so the exact style of tote is no longer available. But in general, it does not look all that different from the current Le Roseau leather totes, with the short handles, rectangular-shape body, and the silver 'bamboo-style' toggle closure.I bought this tote from a Longchamp shop in Manhattan, and likely paid between $500-600. I take very good care of all my clothing and bags. Because I pay good money for my clothing and bags, I consider them an 'investment'...something to use long-term (10 years or longer).So imagine my surprise and disappointment when, over time, I began to notice something strange happening to my Le Roseau 'leather' tote. The bottom edges of the bag seemed to be 'peeling', and underneath was a tinge of green.It was very odd, as we've all seen leather 'wear off', but typically when that happens, underneath you usually see a greyish 'suede' of sorts...the leather/skin underneath the polished exterior.When I brought the bag into a Longchamp store, they used very careful language about ...'wear' on the bag ...how they could have their 'repair shop' see what they could do...and suggested it would cost me about $75 or so... I told them I'd consider it and get back to them.But then I was a little suspicious. This just didn't strike me as 'normal wear', especially since, like I said, I take very good care of my clothing, etc.I recently brought the bag to a leather repair expert in Manhattan. This guy has stellar reviews on Yelp. His customers rave over the work he does on their Jimmy Choos, Christian Louboutins, their Chanel bags, etc. While I can't say that the leather repair guy said my Longchamp tote was 'Not Leather', he seemed to suggest it was the next worst thing. He said things like 'good leather doesn't behave like this', and he used the term 'bonded'.....as if a layer of something were applied onto leather or vice versa. Either way he said there was nothing he could do.This might explain why I always found the overall feel of this tote a bit odd. Typically leather bags came in two forms...either it's a very rigid, shaped leather bag with no 'give' to the leather 'fabric', or else it's a very supple leather that is soft, with a lot of 'give' to the shape. This bag was neither of those two things. The 'leather' and shape of the bag was mutable, a bit, but then the 'leather' itself was rather stiff, with the exterior having a waxy appearance.Either way I am very disappointed in Longchamp, and it's caused me to think very differently about their brand. I'm now lumping them in the category of Coach...a brand that used to be all about quality, but which at a point diluted their brand and its quality in an attempt to appeal to the masses...with the focus on quantity vs quality

I was overjoyed at receiving a Longchamp tote for Christmas 2020 from my daughter. I didn’t start to use it until Summer 2021. By Christmas 2021 the edges on the tote were beginning to fray and had tiny holes. If this is a common complaint, which it seems like it is, Longchamp should amend the design with reinforced corners. Or, is it a way toinsure people have to keep buying new ones so they don’t carry raggedly looking ones?

This review is for my order via the online store. The reviews online here were so bad that before I tried the online store I spent MONTHS trying to buy from anywhere else. Sadly there were no local stockists in my country and attempts to find a "similar" bag online from China had limited success. In the end, I realised that if I wanted a real bag (and I really did) I would have to risk the online store. In the end, my online order was actually completely hassle-free. I ordered a le pilage backpack. (A replacement for one that I had worn out with constant use over the 3 previous years). It arrived in the timeframe they advertised and was neatly wrapped. Communication was OK. I didn't have any need to test their return policy. I'm taking away 1 star because they really should be managing their online reputation better and also because their online contact forms ask for far too much unnecessary information.

It has taken a really long time to get a refund for a product sent back in January- however this has now been resolved satisfactorily.I now believe most of the issues were due to UPS/UK customs. I do feel Longchamp could have been more 'involved' in the process. I had to chase UPS countless times for information, etc. It was pretty frustrating. Whereas it would have been ideal if Longchamp liaised with UPS and also supplied our new address (we'd moved in Jan).I'm pleased with the outcome though, and I would buy direct from Longchamp again.
