Garmin Discounts For Military May 2024

When I am moving it vibrates and tells me to move. Often times it won't use the bluetooth and I don't get messages from my phone. It doesn't give any movement for biking. I thought I'd love the garmin based on information I've heard but I cannot comprehend how it tells me to move in the midst of activities and yet does not register other activities.

Garmin striker 7 sv great fish finder useless as a chart plotter gps. Blank white screen no contour lines does not show makers or anything else. Bought another brand for around same price range nice mapping great unit wish i had not let it go with boat and got this garmin. Disappointing purchase and no way to even add maps. Come on Garmin that is terrible.

Garmin Delta XCI actually really love this product. It works amazing, easy to use. I have one for each of my dogs and they also love it. I would give it 5 stars if not for one problem. The prongs come in long hair or short hair. That's great for most dogs. But I have one no hair dog. In order for the device to be tight enough not to spin around the neck it leaves marks and real discomfort. I had to purchased 1/4 inch art foam and cut it to fit the device so that the prongs hardly penetrate the foam. Plus the foam gives traction so the device isn't sliding out of place.I would really love it if Garmin created a no hair prong setting where the prong hardly rose up at all. Even as a separate purchase. Perhaps you do and I'm just unaware. Perhaps a little rubber or something on the collar that grips the hair or skin better. The spinning means the device ends up on the side of the neck or behind the ear and doesn't stay below the jaw.Other than my hairless dog issue I think this product is great. I enjoyed my time with customer service when I need help connecting multiple devices. Replacement parts are easy to get. Like when I lost the changer... Oh I guess I don't like the charger much either. I think it has way too many parts. It's practically a puzzle. If you could make that simpler it would also be an improvement.Thanks for your time.

I've had my Garmin Phenix 5S for over 6 months. To summorize: I like it when it's working, but paying 800+ € for this watch and having this much trouble with it - not worth it. I had a Fitbit before and NEVER experienced this much issues.I like:- The app (when it's working) - many functions and easy to use- Functions generally - more then I need- GPS tracker - works very well except when skiing (I'm pretty sure my max speed is not 600km/h)- The glass of the watch has so far managed to stay whole without scratches which is surprising (I've knocked it into many things)I don't like- I couldn't connect the watch to the phone for 6 weeks straight one time- The watch and the app loose connection several times a week, almost every week (which is my biggest source for frustration)- The puls count is not correct, far from when doing anything close to HIT- The app takes long to load (when it does connect)- The watch sometimes dies even though the battery is not 0% (and the battery should hold for a 5 hour hike with 60% battery)

My 5yo Vivoactive 3 was suffering (sealed) battery failure. I contacted Garmin and was offered a refurbished replacement at a reasonable price provided I returned the malfunctioning device. I posted the old device at The Gap in Brisbane at lunchtime Friday 25th March. Early Monday 28th March I received email form Garmin telling me the watch had been received. A couple of hours later I received another message advising my replacement watch had been dispatched. Tuesday 29th March, mid-morning, my replacement watch was delivered. That's (excluding weekend) a 48hr turnaround to have replacement watch on my wrist. Much thanks.

Revised my review. I contacted Garmin support (UK) about this faulty watch and felt that the service was very good (the guy I spoke to, Charlie, was actually really helpful), and they are providing RMA for the watch. So I am now happy, despite being without a watch for a while.

Purchased a Garmin 530 Edge bundle directly from Garmin. The online offer was great and refreshingly the voucher I held was automatically accepted and applied to the order. The communications about the order being despatched etc were good.The bundle is a really high quality piece of kit. There is the expected layer of options that come with Garmin. Whilst some reviews call this a button pressing “fest” I found this straightforward so don’t be put off. The device syncs with Garmin connect via the app and laptop really well.The buttons are easy to use out on the road, from my perspective I prefer this to perfidious touchscreens. There is a trade off - if you want a simple interface driven by your phone etc then you may prefer Wahoo devices. The navigation function is amazing. Whilst you can’t automatically route to a new destination on the road, when I made a mistake the device rerouted well in a city centre environment. Image on the device is really clear.Integration with the heart rate and cadence sensors is really easy. I own a Forerunner 10 that is years old and still works perfectly and I can tell the 530 Edge will also have a long shelf life.

Acquired the Garmin MARQ watch recently. Love the look and build quality. Beautiful watch. However at that price point I had to return it given some disappointing aspects; This is supposed to be a smart watch so the haptic and sound feedback should be generous. Nope. Can barely feel the vibration and same goes for the sound. You also need to rely in the light button to actually see the watch face. This is perplexing, since the advertising says this is a watch whose display you want people to see ( so they see your interest). I had the MARQ golfer. If someone nearby could see the face they’d see the “last round” info. Who cares about that. How about showing the wearer’s handicap. Quite dissapointing.

I have owned a Garmin Nuvi 370 in-car sat-nav for about 3 years now, and it has always worked very well and I would score the product easily 5/5. The only problem I had was when I downloaded an update for my Europe map, only for my unit to then start asking for "State/Province" when I wanted to choose a destination. Being outside the US, this rendered the device effectively unusable. I emailed Garmin UK and Garmin USA support, and never received a reply from either despite being told via automated reply I would hear back within 3 working days. Fearing the worst, I called them during my lunchbreak (as their phones are only open 9am - 5.30pm) and spoke to a girl called Gosia at Garmin Europe. She identified the problem immediately (the Nuvi 370 has 2gb memory, the full updated Europe map is 3gb and therefore couldn't fit). She also told me how to break the full Europe map down into sections using the install options during download of the updated map, and how to pick and choose which countries' maps to add to my device, allowing it to fit. On top of this she emailed me a PDF file with all the instructions of what I needed to do. My sat-nav now works perfectly again, with updated maps! I have given Garmin 4/5 purely because they didn't respond to my emails to support. I would score Gosia 5/5, and the product 5/5, and would definitely buy Garmin again in the future.
