Wouldn’t get my meat and fish any where…

Wouldn’t get my meat and fish any where else, Have used Donald Russell for the last thirty years , always a good experience, people so helpful and friendly , even the delivery boys are excellent and carry the box to where I need it. I take it to London when we are visiting and my daughter and husband find it a great treat, never disappointed. Many thanks to you all.

Customer pays extra to received environmentally packaging - really!?

Excellent company, service and quality of food provided. I was very disappointed though to see the company are charging an extra £4.50 on each order to receive your goods in environmentally friendly packaging! Surely this should always be used where possible and customers should not be asked to pay extra - such changes must surely be tax deductible to the company , or the necessary changes should be offset against profits. It is not a choice - it is every individual's and every company's responsibility to make such changes. I chose not to pay the extra and to make a point to them by this review.

Tried the duck Orange

Tried the duck Orange. So disappointed. In fact we threw it away. The stuffing was awful and although cooked to the second wasn't edible. Hardly any meat on it in fact. Shan't by again. Loathe to leave bad review but waste of money.

Very average meat and as for the dreadful packaging !!

I honestly can't give the steaks we received from Donald Russell anything other than an average result as the ones I have eaten so far had a very definite bite to them and indeed one of the steaks had an amazing amount of gristle in it!I have met a lot of butchers over the years and any good butcher would have cast such low quality meat to one side for mince.As for the ridiculous packaging used it has to be about as non environmentally friendly as packaging can possibly be! Surely with the current emphasis on the environment and global warming that something far better than an enormous box made out of expanded polystyrene ought to be used. Possibly I shouldn't have given this review anything other than 2 stars.Will we be ordering from them ever again, most certainly not!

I am a loyal customer .for quite a few years now .Sadly they are not looking after us anymore as i have tried to order meat for the last 3 weeks .YOU cant get through on phones .Not everyone likes to buy on line .Wouldnt you think they would have a answer service and ring you back??
