Good product and delivery service . Can’t complain

I’ll start off by saying the buying and delivery process was slick...although that’s really the easy part to get right.Purchased the Curva table before Christmas and we’ve had it stored in the garage while we finished our kitchen. Had it out recently and noticed a few defects. There are aspects of the table that are unfinished such as the top of the pedestal which are really unsightly.The table itself extends and during this process the top of the pedestal is on view. Additionally, the table top veneer is not durable at all. It picks up scratches and marks far too easily and we’ve only had the table in use for a matter of weeks and have been extremely careful how we use it.We opted for this veneered table over solid oak alternatives (actually less cost) because it was on the higher end of the price range and we figured we’d get what we paid for.When you opt for a veneered table the idea is to mimic the effect of wood, it’s not a very pleasant reminder when you pull the table apart to see the dull scratched and marked unfinished pedestal where the assumption is an easy corner to cut to save money. Obviously with the veneer also more attention should be put on the durability of the top as it can’t be recovered like solid wood.Danetti customer service were initially really quick and responsive...Unfortunately quick and responsive in dismissing my claims as ‘not a manufacturing or structural fault’...let’s cut to the chase just tell me you think it’s my fault! Not sure how the unfinished pedestal could be anything other than a manufacturing issue but then what do I know...Don’t worry they’ve offered me a discount on a new table so when this one gets so scratched and marked in a years time I can buy another one...great!In the grand scheme of things it would have been small fry for them to make this right and avoid this review.Seems a shame as most reviews are of people satisfied with the delivered product but not many of where a defect has involved customer service. Well here’s an account of where things don’t go quite right.UPDATE 14/04/20Clearly this review was what was required for them to step things up a bit. They asked me what my preferred solution was and I requested 15% of the value back for the defects, seemed like a fair amount given the trouble. I was keen to convince them there was an actual fault with the item but after multiple back and forth they never admitted it and offered me what I'm guessing is a goodwill gesture of 10% of the value. There was fuss over the last 5% which seemed trivial (works both ways I suppose!) but they were firm on 10% and I did accept in the end.All this being said I can't fault their responsiveness and attitude, the customer services manager did give the impression that they were doing their best to help.Given this solution was better than the original position I've upped my rating by 1*. However, they should have really accepted responsibility rather than making me believe I'm complaining for the sake of it as that's not what I'm about!

I ordered a dining table and 3 benches from Danetti last summer so am approaching the 12 month warranty period. The initial order went without any problems and the quality of the furniture is excellent and very attractive.There is only 2 of us in the house and due to shift changes don’t eat together very regularly so the furniture has had very little use.I notice a strip of padding had moved on the side of one of my benches.I sent an email with a picture and within a week the replacement had been sent and the old one picked up.Cannot fault there customer service one bit. Will order again for sure. Thank you Eloise.
