A bit disappointing.
I recently ordered 2 custom key caps for my Cherry MX switch mechanical keyboard. One was great. A clearly quality design that I was happy with. The second looked like trash. So bad that it looked like it was made of clay. I understand that the images available are renders of previews but man was it bad. Some proof that you can make a quality product and some accountability would be appreciate. Do not know if I would order again.

The models that I have ordered at Shapeways have all been of great quality and precise details. Had a little trouble with shipping the last time- it seems to be taking longer to produce and ship out models as of late. Customer service has been very responsive with issues and questions

Good service with space for improvement.
I'm using Shapeways as 3d printing service since long time. I've always had a good print quality and when it was not the case I was always able to request a reprint or a refund. Customer service is always ready to respond and help quickly. There is a lot of space for improve of course, as for example more constant pricing, possibility to organize 3d models differently. A B2B would be very appreciated, with the possibility to pay afterwords and to contact the team directly for specific requests. I will add some extra finishing for precious metal as for example sand blasted or brushed effect and do not work with a minimum price. If you design jewelry they are most of the time very small pieces, and with a minimum price you pay more for a small piece that for a big one. The indicated delivery time is most of the time longer that effective one, which is normally faster. Price - quality is okay if compared with other platforms.

in general Shapeways is a very good job for 3D printing. I like the fact, that they have a 100% perfect service with very helpful and friendly agents.On the other side, the shipping costs are for small shipment too expensive and the prices are no longer as low as they have been in the past. Several price upgrades enjoyed a lot of my customers.

Product: AN/M2 .50cal x2 1/35 Ordered late on a Monday night (UK) and delivered to my door (UK) on lunchtime Thursday! That is good service! The product ordered is exquisite! It knocks a similar resin product out of the ballpark, so I’m very pleased to have found Shapeways and will use them again.Slick service and handling, competitive price, postage and packing, well, it was international and we’d all like it for peanuts but I got what I wanted and it was top quality, so I’ll bite the bullet on that (doubled the price effectively).

Quality of Shapeways items
I have found that Shapeways over the last few years of use provide excellent add on parts for my scratch building of boats. When ever there have been any problems they have an excellent team to resolve the issue. All in all I have been very happy with my use of Shapeways.

Could be better!
Shapeways is good, but could be better!I would use Shapeways a lot more:1# If the prices was better, it is expensive to get your designs printed. I know it is a new technology, but production price is so high, that I can't earn on it. I would buy 10 times more, if the prices was more affordable. Lower the prices, sell more and earn more!?2# If the shipping / Production was fasterThe last 3 times I have ordered, I got this message "Your Shapeways order #000000 may ship late" and "Your new expected ship date is between Tuesday, March 21, and Monday, March 27"It is very disappointing, especially when you pay a high price. I ordered march 13 and the product should arrive the 20 march, but now it will be delayed up to 7 days. Not good if you want to run a business and sell your own designs.Advice: Be more precise in the estimated shipping time.#3 If the website would work better, I often lost text that I have written and the render function rarely update.Many things have been improved on the website, so I hope it will continue this way.

This is the future
This is the futureShapeways delivered this 3D-printed part to me, in the UK, just ten days after I ordered it. And, since the new part was "printed" in metal, it is far superior to the hard plastic from which the (failed) original part was made.This is the way to go for spare parts: forget those stockpiles (and non-availability) of spares. After the warranty period, manufacturers should be required to make CAD files available so that replacement parts can (continue to) be made (printed) on demand.

excellent quality at very good price - I am using shapeways for all my 3D prints in precious metal and very tough nylon plastic since 2016 - in rare cases when something went wrong with an order a replacement was sent immediately at no additional cost
