This is a review about Riu in general. Amid the Covid-19 panic, we had to cancel flights & hotels to Costa Rica. It has been a nightmare trying to contact airlines, the travel agent, etc, but Riu was quick to respond and accepted cancellation less than 48 hrs before arrival with no hassle. Excellent service!

We stayed in the Riu Palace Hotel Boa Vista Cape Verdi. I cannot fault this hotel - lovely and clean and modern, rooms spacious and contemporary and spotless. Beds huge and comfortable. Swin up pool very clean and well maintained. Quality and range of food outstanding. Plenty of sunbeds - jetwashed regularly Service from 99% of staff was amazing and so friendly - the whole place is run so efficiently, Well done great job. Huge grounds very spacious all round. Grounds immaculately kept. Any issues were resolved quickly and satisfactorily. Definitely will go back. Thanks for a fantastic holiday.

Riu Guanacaste
I would specifically like to thank Alfonso for assisting me when I had a nose bleed. Although he spoke mostly Spanish, he tried his best and miraculously stopped the blood. I also enjoyed the food in Guanacaste resort very much and how they provided us with sunscreen in our rooms. Te only thing I can complain about during my stay was that the pillows where kind of hard.Definitely would return!Ahria age 12

I'm a Partner Club member and have enjoyed several stays at Riu palace maspalomas and club hotel Riu paraiso Lanzarote. As well as Riu Nautilus . With Riu you know the quality will be there. The food is never outstanding but absolutely fine and hotels always spotlessly clean.

Riu Antillas
We stayed at the riu Antillas for 11 days. Our stay was outstanding. The staff was wonderful especially Suzzanna and Anna our morning and lunch staff. Always greeted with a smile . Andy (I think that was his name) the public relations managed was so gracious. Food at the buffet and restaurant was very good. They did an outstanding job with the buffet on Halloween. Our room was fine. Some rooms need updating. Have stayed here since its openings in Aruba. Would highly recommended it.

Staying at the Riu Republica in Punta Cana and I can honestly say it’s amazing from the customer service to the cleanliness food and drinks I can’t fault it, it’s our 2nd stay here and we would highly recommend. Shout out to JOSÉ on the pool bar fantastic customer service skills and makes the best cocktails!

I have stayed in a number of Rui Hotels now, the best Hotel I have ever stayed at was Riu Palace Macao in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic - What an amazing company, they do everything they can for you to have an amazing stay! Staying in the Riu Caribe in Cancun Mexico in November, with my parents and partner! Can't wait! I will only ever stay in Riu hotels when going abroad!

Stayed in the Riu Palace Jamaica for a week after our Caribbean cruise, could not fault it at all, staff wonderful, treated like royalty, nothing to much trouble, entertainment staff very good, place was spotless, we had access to two other hotels as well, made a nice change to visit different hotels, ( ours was the best) food was excellent, wide choice for everyone’s tastes, would recommend RIU Hotels & Resorts to anyone, you wont be disappointed.

Fabulous hotel, friendly staff, great location, spotlessly clean. Asked for accessible room due to wheelchair, this was provided and was excellent with plenty of space and wet room. Breakfast, included, was buffet with plenty of choices.Nothing was too much bother for staff, all very friendly and approachable.This was second visit for us and hotel was just as nice as it was last year.We will be returning to the Riu in the future as it has more than lived up to expectations .

Hello,I have been with my family the last 7 days at Hotel Karamboa, Boavista Island, Cape Verde.It was a very pleasant surprise for me, a good environment, hygiene, a great beach.- I can say in general, the hotel is very good.I've been in many parts of the world and I believe it is at the level of the best in this class of vacation.But ... to achieve 5 stars, I believe that should improve in 2 points:1 - Thematic Restaurants - A disappointment - we would expect a better meal, not only in terms of typic food, but also in quality.2 - TV Channels - As Portuguese and I suppose, representing many of the clients, it was expected at least one channel in Portuguese, even if only news.With so many existing channels, and some that should represent close to 0% of customers, it would be good to introduce a Portuguese channel.I hope to come back more often and I will recommend it to my friends.But I would also like to see these two points, easy to solve, met.Best regards,Carlota Voigt Mendes da Ponte

Just back from Nerja. The RIU Monica hotel was lovely and clean. The staff were very friendly. The only issues were the entertainment and clientele. The clientele were elderly and retired, with the odd younger couple or family. The music in the evening was for their age too. 50’s and 60’s with the odd 70’s. Lovely place to go. Sits on the beach, beautiful. Just need to sort the entertainment and they might get more younger clientele.
