We booked accommodation in Leicester UK through Vrbo, and having never heard of the company before were a little worried, but for no reason...The booking was easy, the App works great and our host and accommodation were both fantastic. Will be checking for places to stay with Vrbo everytime in future

I agree with several other posters that VRBO customer service is useless. I booked with one of their 'premium hosts' in March 2022. The property charged for extra guests. We originally thought we'd have extra guests but a few people dropped out. The owner has not refunded the extra guest payment and doesn't respond to any attempts to contact him. VRBO told me to negotiate with him and didn't do anything. I've referred it to my credit card company.

I found exactly what I was looking for, booked it, and the owners responded promptly. Very pleased with booking this condo as with previous bookings.

The five stars is to Mr.Jeff Hurst. Our first experience with customer service was a nightmare. We were sent in circles with no answers or help. Mr. Hurst went out of his way and helped us get our case solved and satisfied. We will use VRBO again because of how you listened to our case and acted quickly upon it. Thank you again Jeff for your great customer service!!

2/20 UPDATEI was refunded all of my money. The associate who contacted me sent me an email explaining that under the circumstances I explained that I would be refunded the money I had paid.I want to THANK VRBO for the compassion shown to me during this sad time. My faith in VRBO has been restored.Thank you again2/10 UPDATEFrom the total charge of $349.78 I am to be refunded $244.78. I understand the service fee is not refundable but there still is a considerable difference still owed to me. I have asked before can someone provide a breakdown of how the $244.78 was arrived at.And please refund me the additional money owed to me.Thank you I was booking to go to my aunts funeral. Needless to say it was a stressful time for me. Mistakenly I entered the wrong date. I meant to put 16 but I put 17. Within minutes I realized my error and contacted the owner. He said the 16 was already booked. I told him I needed to cancel and make a reservation elsewhere since I have to travel to that location. His cancellation policy that I hadn’t seen is 50% refunded if cancelled within a few days. I contacted him and told him that I had contacted him within minutes. Said I was issued a partial but it is up to VRBO to refund me more money. I contacted VRBO who said it is up to the owner to determine how much to refund and I should have read his refund policy before booking. So I’m stuck between VRBO and the owner (who is new at this) to figure out who is telling me the truth. This is not a good business practice. I understand not getting back the service fee but I’m being charged more than half the original charge. I’ve used VRBO before and have always been satisfied. This is my first interaction with VRBO and it wasn’t a positive one.

VRBO is my favorite way to book a trip. It’s easy to use, efficient and user friendly. I always have a great experience every time I use VRBO!

My booking experience was awesome. Everyone was sweet and professional. All my questions were answered. They respond quickly. No complaints at all.

No problems fast response

Setup an account as a Host to rent my first property. They blocked access to the $499 subscription model for my account, and my only option was to give them 8% of each booking... 8%! that's almost double of Airbnb and far more than any other website. Customer service said that it was in response to COVID, whatever that means. They have no documentation of this change anywhere, so I was completely blindsided. If I earn $40k in rental fees for the year, instead of paying $499 I now have to pay $3200. Yeah, no.UPDATE - I called in to VRBO and spoke to someone in customer service who was very helpful, and she activated the option to get the $499 subscription. Thank you so much! Rating changed to 5 stars!

We are staying tomorrow, so will update fully if anything changes here, but -I wanted to add a different opinion to the majority here, we had some issues with the host which I will explain below, and, I came onto read these and my heart dropped as I was awaiting a response from customer services.My experience, has overall, with Vrbo, been really great. Obviously, there was a mix up, and our host claims he wasn't ever on Vrbo and thought it was a scam email, so, didn't answer any of my emails or questions. A few days go by after initally booking and no response to questions, so I contact Vrbo and they assured me booking was correct and would be going through, it's protected if anything arises and I go about my next few days, I then ask the host again and no response, so I get back in touch with Vrbo who explained to contact the host directly, which I did, to the response above.I immediately contacted Vrbo after being told the property wasn't available, I called a few times and the UK line wasn't working, but, did manage to get through, I had a call at 6pm last night (27/08/2021) which I was told they would find a suitable room, and I emailed over the screenshots of our message to them and they sent over some properties, all the ones online Vrbo weren't suitable, so they were happy enough to go beyond Vrbo and into Expedias branches and after a call this morning around 11AM I was told they were looking at a hotel that was more suited for our stay and explained that they were refunding us and giving the hotel free as a good will gesture.There was obviously a miscommunication somewhere from the host to Vrbo and the accommodation was booked, whilst it was not available, which sucks, but, i simply cannot really fault the process of what has happened after.The whole thing caused a lot of stress and given it was so close, but in less than 18 hours I was given confirmation of the new property and the explanation of my refund.To anyone here, I'd recommend that you go for a premium host or one with ratings!But, I've found Vrbos customer services, pretty spot on.Thanks again!
