In my experience VRBO have been quite good to deal with, following an incident where a guest broke the TV in my rental property. They handled the issue very well, were fair and professional in all correspondence and I was able to replace the TV from the damage deposit. I cannot comment from a renters' prospective but as a property owner I am happy with the service and my guests have been happy to date...

After reading the majority of these reviews, I feel that I got away very lightly. I booked a property in Congresbury, near Bristol,UK, for three nights from 26th July 2021. Property ID: 8463119, advertising a room in a beautiful farmhouse, with lovely sunsets. When I got to the post code, I couldn’t find the property. I asked some people on the road, and they directed me up an unmade road. I found the only house possible, with a big security gate, and a little gate open. Walked up the path, skirting round the piles of cardboard boxes, rubbish etc. No answer when I knocked on the door, despite there being three or four cars there. Drove round a bit more, and then went back, as it obviously was the right house, to find the previously-open gate locked. So I booked a hotel in Bristol for the night (not through Vrbo, obviously) and then phoned Vrbo. They actually were very helpful once I’d managed to get through to them. The owner phoned me at 2315 to find out where I was! We had an interesting discussion about the state of the grounds etc. I said that I’d gone back twice, and she said that she hadn’t got home until 2100. Didn’t answer when I asked how I was supposed to check in then. To their credit, I had a refund within four days, but I wouldn’t want to use Vrbo again. And the property is still listed.

The five stars is to Mr.Jeff Hurst. Our first experience with customer service was a nightmare. We were sent in circles with no answers or help. Mr. Hurst went out of his way and helped us get our case solved and satisfied. We will use VRBO again because of how you listened to our case and acted quickly upon it. Thank you again Jeff for your great customer service!!

It’s a great platform, I prefer it than Airbnb, but not for the payments. I have been waiting 10 days to get paid, clients have already left the property, and still haven’t got the funds. Great platform, but they have the worst payment system.

They refunded me less £17.Hard to contact.Something slightly suspicious about them.Tread carefully.

Even though we have had a listing with VRBO for five years which 1) had a fixed annual annual service fee and 2) VRBO paid us our customer payments when the customer paid them, rather than when the customer checked in, they have changed both of these policies without notice. They now 1) charge per booking, and for our high-end bookings these fees represent a ~2,500% increase in their fees, and 2) hold the owners funds until check-in, with us that is up to a year. VRBO has always been our go-to booking platform, but unfortunately these policies make it a very challenging option for owners.

Update: we got our payment back. Through this site - trustpilot - did VRBO contact us.We delivered the proof that we the app. was not avaible. VRBOcontacted the owner and we got the message on sunday that we got our money back, a very fast reaction.Only one thing: why is the app. still avaible????App. Coquet studio booked 5 juli 2021 in France: le Pradet. The owner says the app. Is no longer availble. She says she informed VRBO. But if you look on the site the app. Can still be hired. How is that possible?We payed the price,but we have not get our money back.

I had no issue booking my stay using the VRBO APP, however the owner of the house canceled my reservation 6 days before my check in. There was no communication whatsoever. If I was able to leave a review on the owners page I would. Beware of renting in Tobyhanna Pennsylvania, owner Maria Otana. We corresponded when the reservation was made, and there was no further communication. I messaged her to inquire about my upcoming stay. The only response I received was a message that my reservation was canceled. Very unprofessional. Stay far away from her!!

Great customer service at the resort and wonderful amenities! Be careful and be sure to book with the resort directly. We booked with a private owner through VRBO and we're deceived.*The address listed on the reservation is at the Hammock Beach Resort. *The advertised price was $274 per night. It came out to almost $430 a night with all the extra fees & taxes. The owner misrepresented the property in the description of this unit., and VRBO and Vacay Home Connect allowed it, and offered no refund or alternate property.It said in the ad "Intracoastal view, private beach, etc...." It never said 5-10 minute drive to the beach for all the amenities. The receptionist at the resort let us know where it was when I called about check-in. The address on the reservation was at the Hammock Resort on the beach, so more false advertising. The receptionist also let us know that the pool was scheduled to reopen, but there was a delay. It opened during our stay.Although the condo is lovely, and the views of the harbour are pretty, it is not at the beach. This birthday beach vacation was for a family member's birthday gift and our only family mini-vacation. The fee was expensive, as a 3-night stay is more than my monthly mortgage payment. With 3 family members on teacher's salaries, and one grad student, this is a lot to spend for a condo on a canal, and the beach, big pool club, and other amenities a 10 min. drive away. There is a also a $2 toll each time you go into town.We are never using VRBO again to book vacations due to this misrepresentation and we will be sure to warn our family, friends, neighbors, or colleagues do either...

have just returned from a fantastic 3 dsys at this lovely chalet. Caldon 43 Norton park, The chalet was beautiful. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The beds were to die for. I congratulate the owners on this really beautiful place. It is quiet and central for anything you want to do. I would thoroughly recommend this Chalet to anyone. Don't miss out you will not be disappointed

We just got back from our Fathers Day weekend at Bearadise! The cabin was fully stocked and very clean. The beds were comfortable, the game room complete with foosball table, pool table, assortment of games and DVDs not to mention the arcade game was perfect for unwinding after the day in the craziness & traffic of Pigeon. It was wonderful to kick back and enjoy our family. The pool was terrific and just a very short walk from the cabin. This is the Smokey Mountains so the walk down to the pool was a bit of a challenge for the "out of shaper" in our group but she did it. I can't say enough about our host! Susan was quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had. Thank you Susan! A great time was had by all

I rented Driftwood on Fripp Island from Nola and Steve Wood. The house was perfect for our family. It was very clean, had plenty of towels, and beachtowels. The kitchen was very well stocked; we were able to have a low country boil while here! The hosts were very easy to work with. They answered my many questions in a very timely manner. I booked a caravan 12th june it went through vrbov to another agent 2C holidays it said pets allowed so i payed the first installment 118 pounds but then 2C holidays said i couldnt take my cat which is a pet not everyone has a dog so i cancelled the holiday the same day 2C holidays cancelled the booking and refunded 25 pound when i got intouch to find out about the 93 still owing they said vrbo needed to pay but when i got intouch with vrbo customer service they said 2C should pay i want my money back

This was our second year staying here As usual my family and I had a absolute wonderful time the phoenix west 2 is the absolute best place to stay on orange beach! With that being said the reason I only gave 4 stars is because we had a few setbacks #1 parking was terrible we paid $70 for parking and for 2 of the five nights we where there i had to park down the street because there was no parking available #2 the couch was full of trash no biggie being the clean freak that I am it took a whole 5 minutes to clean #3 the coffee pot was missing but I contacted the manager mrs Pam and she said she would bring me one right over! But I told her it was no biggie! But overall it was an absolutely wonderful stay the phoenix west 2 NEVER disappoints!!!!!!! Thank you phoenix west ii and Mrs Pam bates for a wonderful time! See you next year!
