I ordered the skull paisley slip on shoes on line. I paid $24.90, got shoes and on bottom of sole of shoe, was priced $19.50.I do love the shoes.

I've had good experience shopping with hot topic online. I had ordered makeup pallettes in which they didn't show up broken or busted, got the right shirt and size and got my posters I had asked for. I got my discount when I was checking out. Now, I've never shopped there when it's close to the holidays since it tends to get hectic with orders coming later than expected. Other than that, Haven't had a problem yet,but, I do love their merch they have including the anime ones, the posters, accessories and makeup.

Oh, man, I did not expect the rating for Hot Topic to be so low. I don't know anything about a history of art theft but I can speak from my experience. So, all but one of my Hot Topic purchases, have been online. That's just because I live in the middle of nowhere. I couldn't tell you at this point how many orders I've made. I have never had a bad experience with them, not a single one. I'm plus size and they're inclusive to people of my size and have a lot of cool things to wear. Being able to find things I like in my size is something so wonderful. Nothing I've bought has come damaged and none of my stuff became damaged over time. I have jeans from high school that have held up. I've bought shoes, accessories, home stuff, and they've all been great. I think people are way too hard on Hot Topic about them catering to more than one subculture now. And if they did in fact remove Marilyn Manson merch, as an ex-fan, it's because he's a horrible person. At least they care about who they're representing and making money off of.

Ordered a bunch of shirts during black friday and most came fine but UPS lost 3 of them. Called the store and they had no problem getting a reorder set up for reshipment. Still waiting but thats okay, I understand that shipping during this time can be chaotic.

The website is absolutely terrible, but the app is amazing. I tried to order on the website and it wouldn't even load. Even when it did load, it wouldn't let me enter my credit card information in or process the order. With the app however, it did everything that I just complained about. If you order from here, please use the app.

I purchased this product, Funko Disney Villains Diamond Collection Pop! Maleficent On Throne, and am happy with my purchase, I received it in good condition, well packaged.

I have had a great experience with Hot Topic in store. I love my local Hot Topic and even pop in to say hi to the workers and manager whenever I stop at the mall. Never had any problems online either... until now. In January, I checked my bank account as I usually do to make sure everything is okay. I see a Hot Topic charge I know I didn’t order. To double check, I go online to my HT account and don’t see any purchase for that amount. I further call HT customer service to make sure I’m not seeing things. The guy didn’t see anything that I made that big of a purchase and recommended I call my bank credit card company right away. So I called them and they said I would have to get a new card because that was potential fraudulent activity and they would investigate it. The credit card company refunded me my money and sent my new card. In March I decide to purchase from Hot Topic again, like I usually do. They cancel my order and send me an email that it has been canceled but do not specify the reason. So I decide to call customer service to inquire why it was canceled and they said maybe my information wasn’t right with my new card but couldn’t see a reason as to why. Fair enough. I reentered my new card number to make sure it was correct, my email was the same, name, shipping and billing address was correct, etc. An online sale comes up and I want to make a purchase. I put the order through and not even a day later, the order is canceled... again. I call HT customer service again and they look into it and the woman says that I cannot make anymore purchases online because my account has been suspended because of a fraud claim I made to Hot Topic in January. She told me I could still purchase in store though, through an associate who could put my order in that way. So I did that. I went to the store, an associate helped me put my order in. Two days later I decide to check my order status and it shows that it was canceled. So I call Hot Topic again and I explain that I was told by another customer service representative just a few days earlier that I could go into the store and have an employee put in my order for me. This representative informs me that no, I cannot even have an employee put in an order under my account because it is still online and linked to my account, which is suspended because I reported Hot Topic for charging me for a purchase I never made (there is proof of that). Why would a company I WANT to give my business to suspend me from buying from them ever again just because I reported a charge on my credit card from THEM?? I don’t want to stop buying from them but this is very frustrating and unfair. ** UPDATE ** :: after many failed attempts to work it out with customer service on various forms of contact on social media, email and the phone going in circles with them, I decided to contact the president of the company. With customer service on social media and email, I didn’t feel listened to even when I presented the evidence. The response I got from them was less than 2 minutes after I sent the message and evidence. But when I emailed the president, they not only heard me out but gave me $5 extra in my rewards for my trouble and apologized for the inconvenience I had. Moral of the story: when there’s a problem that cannot be solved any other way, you go straight to the top. Don’t bother with people who can’t give a solution. I am thankful they value me as much as I want to promote them. Glad it turned out okay (:

I’ve been a customer at Hot Topic for years. I’ve never had a bad experience in the store, but the website is full of bad experiences. They don’t ship your order on time, they won’t let you use your hot cash coupons on the site without issue, they’ll cancel your order out of nowhere sometimes, say that something’s in stock but then you get an email that says “Sorry! This item is unavailable! Thanks for trying to shop with us!” And don’t even try to call customer service unless you wanna stay on hold for an hour and get hung up on. Email them and they usually reply within a few hours. The last time I went on the website one of the shirts I ordered came within 3 days but then I had to inquire about the rest of my order after nearly two weeks because they sent the same tracking number for the rest of my order as they did for the shirt so it was useless to track it. If it wasn’t for the fact that the nearest store is all the way in Albany, NY when I live 40 minutes from there and don’t have time to go there, I would stop using the website entirely
