Doordash Promo Code April 2024

I had loved door dash! My boyfriend and I had used it quite frequently starting in November, however recently, it’s been awful and it made me cancel my dash pass. The last 3 times, our order has been incorrect, or only gotten part of our orders.

My vehicle broke down had to call a tow truck. Just had 2 major order's just accepted had the food in Hot bag's when this happened. On my way to deliver, car will not Crank. Imediatly another driver came & rescue the order's and head to deliver, also restaurant said they were going to remake for free as well. Customer's was notified. What I see in a lot of the negative reviews is short communication and understanding that we are all in this together

I have a different approach on tipping which I expect criticism. I do not enter a tip amount on my order. I use DD only for groceries, and at only one store. It started with the beginning of COVID when 25% to 50% of items were often out-of-stock. So I waited until the items were delivered and gave a cash tip, which I have continued to do. In my notes I state I am a disabled senior citizien (true) and to knock loudly because I need help placing them inside the door. On one occasion, although I was waiting within 10' from the door I heard nothing, and about 20-30 minutes later, thinking the order should be here by then, I checked and there were about a dozen plastic bags that had been sitting outside my door for goodness knows how long. I have no doubt the Driver stealthily put them down and snuck back to his car, thinking there would be no tip so why bother? To quote Julia Roberts from "Pretty Girl", "Big mistake...big mistake!" Another time I actually did hear the person at the door and by the time I got to the door and opened it, he was already at the car and, apparently hearing my door open, turned around and looked at me, but got into the car anyway and left. In both cases I called the store and was told that person would be crossed off from delivering my groceries ever again. Both times the store, less than 2 miles, offered to send someone to bring my groceries inside for me.I will not change my approach and I am a good tipper, from 15-20% or more if there are heavy items like kitty litter, or soda, etc. I am also assured that the Driver gets to keep the cash, unlike some horror stories that they do not always get the money set aside on the order ticket so I keep a stack of $5s on a table beside the door. Most of the time the grocery store sacker packs too heavily and often plastic bags will have tears in them or broken handles (would it break the store for double bagging?), but I don't hold that against the driver. I just indicate in the Comments that I'm disabled and need help. On the opposite end, I've had Drivers who've offered to bring them into my kitchen, but I keep a wire cart beside the door so I can wheel them to my kitchen; I just can't stoop over to load them from outside the door. In closing, I do like the competitor policy better because the shopping and delivery are done by one person and in "real time" whereas with DD the store I use shops the groceries, holds them until a DD driver is available, which is a free offering only if you have a $99/yr paid membership with them and can wait longer than 2 hours for delivery. For that quicker service, there is an additional $10 charge each time, even for paid members, making DD a more expensive option when compared to a $69/yr CostCo membership guaranteeing a 2 hour delivery by the competitor; but not everyone can use a case of canned olives or a 5-lb block of cheese!

I have had some bad deliveries but when I chat or call Doordash customer service I always get a FULL REFUND and sometimes credit for those mistakes. Other delivery services have horrible customer service and make too many mistakes on my food delivery. So I will keep using Doordash. I love it.

Doordash is a nice job only when you need money. I wouldn't take it up as a Full time job tho. There are too many little surprises to be worked out I don't agree on. I enjoy it most of all. It is there when I need it. Customers should be more Greatful to your drivers is all I'm saying.

The workers have to be more reliable and not handing your food to someone else in front of your building. They very disappointing.

Lots of people complain about how Doordash didn't deliver their stuff.Not my experience.Guess what: Doordash has plenty of drivers. And absolutely none of them are going to take no-tip orders for $3, which is all they get when they aren't tipped. They are happy to ignore those orders.

THE PEOPLE ON HERE COMPLAINING ARE THE ONES WHO DON’T TIP AND REQUESTING FOOD TO BE DELIVERED 20 MILES AWAY AT A APARTMENT COMPLEX THAT IS TERRIBLY CONFUSING WITH NO NUMBERS AND DIRECTIONS MOST PEOPLE WANT IT DELIVERED TO THEIR FRONT DOOR THATS FINE WHEN YOU LIVE IN A HOUSE WHAT I WILL NOT DO IS DROP OFF YOUR FOOD ON THE THIRD FLOOR APT 300 YOU BETTER GET OFF YOUR LAZY ASS AND COME GET IT IM THE LOBBY.

Wish I had checked this website before signing up. Ordered a care package for a family member the night before they had a major surgery for their cancer treatment. Found out 6 days later, once she was home from the hospital, that half my order was missing. Doordash refuse to refund me or send the other half of the order that I paid for. $20 in food that never arrived, let alone the $10 tip. I was so happy to do something nice for someone going through a difficult time, and this has just soured the whole experience and left me feeling cheated and angry.UPDATE: I am so pleased to say that the leadership of Doordash responded to my complaint and made this right. I hope my experience will be used as a customer services training example, to demonstrate that sometimes there are exceptions to the policies and to use common sense and good judgement when reviewing claims. I intend to try doordash again and hope for a more seamless experience.
