Directv Packages For Existing Customer April 2024

I have had great service and response from DirecTV when I've had a problem. The only problem the haven't been able to address is lose of signal when it rains.

Had great service with Direct TV. Only weird issue is that my roommate wanted to keep them when I moved out and they wouldn't let us transfer the account. But they were totally helpful in canceling my account, no issues and it took less than 2 minutes. I guess they didn't really care about keeping accounts. Which is weird because they were a great company, but maybe they have enough customers.

You have to keep an eye out on your bill because they will try to charge you for things you don't want. The benefits of it, such as the genie are great, but for it being satellite it runs so slow. I often have to wait 5 minutes just to get it started up. Then to actually get the guide up and to the channel I want takes forever. It freezes way too much, when everything should be preloaded without issues. Very frustrating

Our family enjoys DirecTV. We've had to call customer service a few times and every time a rep has been friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. They've allowed us to pause our service at no charge and change plans at anytime. I have family that have other services and there were multiple times when channels wouldn't come in or they were charged too much in error. We've never had any of those experiences with DirecTV.

I have been a Customer since I think may of 2013 its been a few years, I have seen some improvements with the at&t app, at first it wasn't reliable I even deleted it for a while I couldn't pay my bill. My issue now with them , some of the service reps will give you false info, could be lack of training , or need more training I learned this the hard way,, on the flip flip side of things since they bought Directv,the internet is through Hughes net or you are basically on your own I agree with that . I don't use the internet the internet I do have is a good company I think so far but this isn't about them,, The at&t app to stream movies, or shows is terrible cause you have to sign in everytime. Once you do finally sign in after several attempts, there are errors or the program isn't available ,I get better TV with Pluto tv, and I think that is safe to mention , the point is AT&T should be above these other streaming companies by now .

I am just wondering why they cancelled the news network OAN. Was this decision politically or financially motivated? If the later financially motivated decision, ok, then, that checks out. If it was a politically motivated decision, however, this is dishonest and unfair to viewers that watch the network and espouse to those political beliefs being censored, many of which are valid political beliefs with good logical reasoning and not, as the competitors claim, "disinformation". If so and the cancellation is found to be politically motivated, then shame on DirectTV for selling out to crooked corporate interests and being dishonest and misleading, and promoting a biased worldview. (As OAN was rumoring for months that certain shady competitors and politicians were planning to have them cancelled based on political censorship, it seems that this may have been the case now that it actually happened, but who knows why they were cancelled, as no one will say definitively it seems like, not that I've really looked into it too carefully. I was kind of disappointed to see them go off of TV, because that seems to reaffirm my prior fears, which are that indeed these corrupt social media influencers are silencing the opinions of those they disagree with on purpose, and that, if true, large corporations such as DirectTV are soul-less monopolies addicted to pleasing their financial interests, without any integrity or honesty and willing to do anything to make money, selling out their morals to the highest bidder. I watched OAN sometimes as one of my news sources. They seemed to be a good news station with interesting perspectives, and good, well thought-out news stories. Their reasoning was often sound, though I did not always agree with everything they said. I was a little bit disturbed to see them canceled, as this is damaging the careers of the employees of a smaller, newer business in favor of multi-millionaire corporate stations. Sad to see.

Absolutely the best TV provider by far. I agree once AT&T bought them it started going down hill. But....now that AT&T sold DirecTV to TPG I've noticed a change in their customer service. I really believe they are going back to their old ways which is a great thing. I heard the call centers are moving back to the U.S.A!!

Recently upgraded to the 4K Genie. I now have a noticeable 3-4 second lag when changing channels, as well as a lag when using FFWD and 30 sec FWD buttons.After the DTV tech visited & determined all hardware was proper, he advised it is a known hardware problem with the 4K receivers. He stated AT&T purchased DTV and the receiver hardware but cut out the software company that developed and improved the receivers for DTV. In summary, AT&T has a known software problem. Who knows if it can or will be fixed, since it doesn’t seem acknowledge the problem. I have noticed there is no time lag in my rather high payment to them each month. Priorities!
