For the most part, we love our Blue Apron boxes however there were few times where we were missing key ingredients for our recipes and had to run to the store quickly and purchase ourselves to complete the recipe. I have left comments about this while reviewing recipes and never so much as received an apology for the inconvenience from the company.

Blue Apron has made me excited about cooking! I’m 29 years old and have never been comfortable in the kitchen. Blue Apron has changed that. I am learning new skills each week and enjoying delicious food while I’m at it. My partner and I look forward to making the meals together each week. Blue Apron makes cooking at home feel like date night! We are truly enjoying our subscription!

Every meal is delicious. Instructions are easy to follow.On the rare occasion there is an issue, customer support has been perfect. I have used other kits but always come back.

We absolutely love it! The step by step directions and preportion food nothing goes to waste anymore! Something new every night! We can't wait for our box every Saturday!

I love the quality of Blue Apron and the recipes are great. The only thing that prevents me from putting them at 5 stars is the amount of plastic used in the packaging. If they could do some more sustainable packaging, they'd be perfect!

Honestly we only planned on doing this during the discount period, but the meals are so good and easy to prepare, we have continued the shipments well past the trial period. I am amazed every time how just a few ingredients can taste so good. We have even successfully replicated our favorites. We are health conscious and so we do the WW meals. They have all been delicious! We feel the meals have been worth every penny!

Over the last few years my home family has continue to get smaller and its hard to buy and cook food for 1 person, Blue Apron has given me the opportunity to be able to have smaller portion sizes of food that you can't always get at the grocery store. I have been receiving Blue Apron for a couple of months now and have been loving all of the different recipes. I was getting bored with the same old food choice and need to spice up my menu.

The food is good. It just needs to add more on the meat for 4 or more people and more variety of meats each order instead of a lot of chicken. Otherwise we like it a lot and 2 less meals a week to think about preparing

I'm giving 5 stars in comparison to a few others we've tried (Purple Carrot, Hello Fresh, and Sun Basket).Over a year ago, we started with Blue Apron with a family of four. Everyone pretty much loved it. Then my oldest daughter moved out at 24 years young with only the cooking ability to prepare Top Ramen. We lowered our meal requirements to 3 people. My oldest daughter now living on her own and on a budget, realized that a $10 meal was unobtainable in any restaurant for the same quality of a home-cooked meal. So she signed up for Blue Apron and learned how to cook, with her and her boyfriend taking turns with the meals.Meanwhile, my youngest at-home daughter, 22, was going through a vegan phase so we tried Purple Carrot. Meh. Bland meals, not very appetizing and some freshness issues. Then we tried Sun Basket. Simple meals, not as appetizing or creative as Blue Apron, and they also had some freshness issues.So we went back to Blue Apron and are very pleased. Overall quality is great. Meal selections are pretty good. Recipe sheet is easy to follow. And it definitely makes economical and time-management sense. We do 3 meals per week for two people and will add extra ingredients if our daughter who still lives at home will join us for dinner (she's a busy millennial!). Or we simply add a salad to round out a 3-course meal for three people.We save the most popular dishes for re-order or to make it ourselves in the future from store-bought ingredients but we've never actually done that! Now we have over a 50 recipe "favorites" that we've never gone to the store ourselves to replicate. I guess that proves the time-savings benefit of not having to go to the grocery store and the delicious recipes that we deemed good enough to save as a repeat meal.We have a house rule that whoever cooks the meal, doesn't have to clean up afterward. However, being a home chef now, I DO take of my cookware, iron skillet, fry pans, etc. And I love to go into the kitchen departments now at various stores, especially Sur La Table!Being able to skip a week is also great during a vacation period or busy travel week. We are hesitant to try one of the other top contenders because of the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" axiom.We highly recommend Blue Apron. Also great for millennials who don't know how to cook for themselves. Enjoy!
