Are Morningstar Farms Products Healthy April 2024

I have had ongoing problems with stock prices not being updates, solved twice over the last year.Now I notice the investment value total column adds up wrongly.MS said this is a known problem being worked on!! Three weeks on, no fix.I also use Yahoo finance now.

It's an ok service, but definitely not for the price it's at. Needs to come down at least 2x or 3x!

Some fund and stock info (widely duplicated elsewhere however). The tools could be useful, but like many reviewers I have serious doubts about relying on any of them or the information contained.I’ve often hit errors when trying to access a premium feature (just getting an unhelpful error instead of being able to access an offered trial or sign-up) meaning that I’ve abandoned any intentions to try out the premium tools for long term use.Another example is %market weight in the portfolio tool giving just bananas random percentages bearing absolutely no relation to what is a very simple calulcation.I’ve reported but got a fairly standard “the issue’s been escalated”. I did offer to help the devs with their sums, so we’ll see :-)My career has been in software engineering and as a CIO and CTO. If I’d allowed this sort of thing out the door or not fixed it within one day, I’d not have been in my job the next day. Destroying an essential brand characteristic thorough inadequate basic testing would have been unforgivable.Unfortunately, interactive investor also uses some of Morningstar under the covers so I’ll need to consider whether I can stay with them also.

Great clearing company, keeps you informed online and on the phone if that's what you prefer, great company.

Good offering, but not being able to cancel online is a major hassle. Forcing the user to call a number for no reason just isn't good practice anymore. If I can sign up online, I should be able to cancel online.

I do use the premium version, and the analyst reviews are of significant value. Their ratings represent a good second opinion. However, I already have access to this same data through my broker.I use the portfolio view to download a snapshot daily and use my own spreadsheet to manage my investments. The data; however, often has issues. I moved from Morningstar from Yahoo, but find Morningstar to have as many issues, even with a Premium membership. Support is generally of no use. Sometimes when sets of data are missing (dividend values are missing from most/all equities) they reply after the data gets fixed in 3-4 days. Other continuing data problems have gone on for years, with support giving me nonsensical answers.For example, they have continuing problems with showing the Dividend Amount (which is the Div/Share extended by the number of shares you have entered). It is generally just plain wrong. Elsewhere on their site, the Div/Share is correct, so they must have data problems within their site. I would actually prefer they just provide the Div/Share value, but that suggestion obviously falls on deaf ears.My concern is about what other data problems exist that I don't know about? And bad information is worse than no information.Although I keep track of my investments in the Morningstar portfolio, I have the functionality to automatically process income transactions (deposit the cash or reinvest) turned off, because of data problems. When transactions are wrong, it is much more difficult to manage than having this turned off. I just adjust the share amount and cash balance periodically.Overall, there is some value, but I am very disappointed

Decent online database of company financials. Figures are sometimes different to 10Ks and 10Qs but overall a very useful tool for research.

Great resource for traders. They offer excellent content for investors of all skill levels.
