Unreliable pulse rate.
I have had two Fitbit Charge 2 in the past year. The first had 2 problems: the wrist band broke and I nearly lost my watch. The screen cracked by itself without any cause. Although the service department took their time and asked many things, they eventually replaced my watch that was sent to me by mail. For my second watch, I ordered leather like bands by Amazon. No problems so far. I DO WANT TO MENTION THAT BOTH WATCHES GROSSLY UNDERESTIMATE PULSE RATE WHEN EXERCISING. THIS CAN GO UP TO 40-50 HEARTBEATS / MINUTE. Using a second heartbeat monitor ona treadmill, I have registered a rate of 140 on the monitor and 92 on my watch. This happens every time. Needless to say this is terribly unsafe and the watch should not be trusted for pulse rate. As far as footsteps, it seems reliable.

Faulty charge 3.
I had a faulty charge 3.I contacted fitbit via their chat option.After going through a couple of processes to try and fix I was advised the device was faulty.I have just received a replacement ( upgraded to charge 4 as no charge 3 in stock) just over a week later.I can not fault the customer service I received and I am surprised to read the poor reviews.Maybe it depends which country you are in.

I had my fitbit for 11 months
I had my fitbit for 11 months when it stopped working properly. It wouldnt record heartbeat and sleep, and pixels were missing from the screen. I contacted customer support who were very efficient and told me how to do a reset. When this didn't work they replaced the tracker right away.

Don’t purchase Fitbit Charge 4 if you want to be outside.
The Charge 4 is okay if you are indoors, but you cannot see the screen outside- even on a very cloudy day- certainly not in sunlight. This is a big problem if you are doing anything outside- which most people who want a device like this are. I would not recommend this product. The plastic band is also very uncomfortable when you perspire! Also disappointed in customer service platform - not helpful at all.

My father was having trouble with his Charge 3. I called and spoke with Stuart who was more helpful than I could have imagined! He answered all my questions and we were able to get a fair exchange for the device that was not working.

Saying NO to Google!
I have been a loyal Fitbit customer but after the news that Google will be acquiring Fitbit I am dumping this product.Google is far too intrusive as company and this is one more product to invade people's privacy with. First it was search, then email, then location, then communication and now its health, tomorrow its our finances. GO AWAY GOOGLE!

Their customer service skills are amazing in my experience and I couldn’t be happier with each outcome. Wow, I'm really surprised at all the terrible reviews! My boyf and I bought a fitbit each to mostly measure our sleep patterns, and we love them! I have a versa and he has the original kind. I now wear it all the time and have checked it against Strava when measuring exercise. I think it's great.ADENDUM bought fitbit in August 2019, in November 2019 it stopped working and they promptly sent a replacement. Then in October 2020 the replacement stopped working and they have now sent a third watch, but this one isn't compatible with the original charger, so it's a right pain in the bum. However, my boyfriend's works perfectly and he's had no problems at all

My fitbit seem to not be able to keep…
My fitbit seem to not be able to keep up with my daily activities! Right now, I have nothing calculated and today (August 9, 2020), it's only showing me my steps, floor and calories! Booooooo!!!
